Cartoonists Abound For “Drawn From The New Yorker: A Centennial Celebration”
A boffo opening reception last night at The Society of Illustrators for their Drawn From The New Yorker: A Centennial Celebration exhibit. Over 500 folks jammed into the Society (a record for any event ever held there). Above is a group photo (spliced together from a video taken by Attempted Bloggery‘s Stephen Nadler, who, along with Liza Donnelly and myself, conducted a walking tour of the exhibit prior to the opening). The photo only shows us some of the magazine’s artists in attendance last night. I’ll eventually post more photos that will include those obscured above (and I’ll also provide a key once I’m able to identify everyone).
