Fave Photo Of The Week: Peter Arno Holding Hullabaloo
Although I finished up Peter Arno’s biography eight years ago, I still have an interest in discovering “new” Arno material. Here’s a great photo I came across the other day that I’d never seen before. It appeared in a 1931 article, “Propensity For Getting In Trouble” about Cornelius Vanderbilt, Jr. (Mr. Vanderbilt and Arno had a headline-splashy run-in involving Mrs. Vanderbilt).
Arno’s holding his latest collection, Hullabaloo (Robert Benchley wrote the intro.) One reviewer had this to say about the book:
