The Spill introduces a new column today, The Auction Watch. I spend a lot of time window shopping on ebay, looking for New Yorker things I’ve never seen before. When I run across something out of the norm, I’ll mention it here.
The Auction Watch will in no way step on Attempted Bloggery‘s toes. That’s the place to go for reportage on auctioned New Yorker work.
The Auction Watch will be the place for noting interesting items up for grabs. Here’s a for instance:
I recently noticed a large number of Joe Dator’s New Yorker original drawings listed. By “large number” I mean 22 of them. A few days ago Mr. Dator informed the Twitterverse what he was up to:
With originals heading out the door, Mr. Dator replenished the stock on Sunday.
