Video Of Interest: Al Hirschfeld
A dozen Al Hirschfeld drawings, accompanying articles, appeared in The New Yorker between 1998 and 2003; the last, in the issue of February 3, 2003, covering a page-and-a-half, appeared with the magazine’s noting of Hirschfeld’s passing. This video of Mr. Hirschfeld’s appearance on the show, Spotlight, in 1992 is well worth watching.
