Let The Pre-Laughing Begin: Joe Dator’s “Inked”
An advance copy of Joe Dator’s Inked has arrived in the mail. The book’s not out til October, so in the spirit of pre-ordering (which I hope Spill visitors will do), I’m pre-laughing.
This is not a review of Mr. Dator’s book (the Spill doesn’t review colleagues’ books) — not a review, but a hip hip hoo-ray. Anytime an excellent cartoonist has a collection out, it’s a good day (and that day — the day the book is out, is October 19th, 2021). New Yorker cartoon fans will of course fall over themselves to get a copy. While you’re waiting for your copy of Inked: Cartoons, Confessions, Rejected Ideas, And Secret Sketches From The New Yorker’s Joe Dator, here’s a link to Mr. Dator’s website where you can and will laugh in real time.
