The New Yorker has posted a short video with cartoonist Sofia Warren, talking to us about one of her Cartoon Caption Contest drawings. From the post, this text:

“In a very rare glance behind the velvet curtain, we’re revealing the original, intended caption for one of our weekly Cartoon Caption Contest drawings.”

Roz Chast’s Award

 

Roz Chast posted this photo on Instagram the other day. She’s holding the 2024 Best Of Brooklyn Award. With her is her book editor Nancy Miller.

Ms. Chast  began contributing to The New Yorker in July of 1978.
