By now, if you’re a regular Spill visitor, you know why Rea Irvin’s perfect design, shown directly above, appears here every week. If you’re a first time visitor, I’ll briefly explain: back in May of 2017, Mr. Irvin’s design was replaced by — gasp! — a redrawn version to celebrate/commemorate the magazine’s move from midtown Manhattan to lower Manhattan. It really should’ve been a one-off appearance, but nooooooo, the redraw has stayed put ever since. The Spill believes that Mr. Irvin’s work — the real deal! — should be returned. Read more.
