The Monday Tilley Watch takes a glancing look at the art and artists of the latest issue of The New Yorker

The Cartoonists And Cartoons:

Fifteen cartoons, eighteen cartoonists*. Barry Blitt has the cover, Harry Bliss has a “Sketchbook,” and Jared Nangle is responsible for this issue’s Spots. One duo, that we know of (the Spill counts duos as one cartoonist): Peter Quach and Carolina Alonso Bejarano. The duo is a newbie — the 18th addition to the magazine this year, and the 144th addition to The New Yorker‘s cartoon stadium since Emma Allen took the cartoon editorship reins in May of 2017.
