The Monday Tilley Watch takes a glancing look at the art and artists of the latest issue of The New Yorker
The Cartoonists and Cartoons:
Fourteen cartoons, fifteen cartoonists (Barry Blitt has a Sketchpad). Two duos, that we know of, and one newbie: Gina Deluca who is the 2nd addition to the cartoonists colosseum this year and the 167th addition since Emma Allen became cartoon editor in 2017. The longest active contributing cartoonist in the issue is Roz Chast, who began contributing in the summer of 1978.

The Spill, stubbornly refusing to see the writing on the wall, hopes Mr. Irvin’s work will someday return. Read more here.
