The Rea Irvin Talk Watch:
Back in the Spring of 2017, someone decided it would be a great idea to replace Rea Irvin’s classic Talk design (shown below) with — gasp! — a redrawn version that included One World Trade Center. Using the redraw would’ve been a nice idea for just the issue commemorating the magazine’s move downtown several years earlier (celebrated by Bruce McCall’s cover on the issue of February 2, 2015). But the redraw continued on, while Mr. Irvin’s original was put in storage. The Spill believes it’s never too late to bring back the classic. Read more here.
