When Art Becomes Part Of The Story

Those following news of The New Yorker and The New Yorker Union may have come across two graphics in the past week that have received a lot of attention.

The first is a mock New Yorker cover, created by Genevieve Bormes, associate covers editor (the magazine’s art editor –the editor in charge of covers — is Francoise Mouly).

The second graphic showed up the other day in the form of a caption contest.

It’s drawn by a cartoon contributor, Jason Adam Katzenstein (aka J.A.K.).
