Sky-High Addams
Spill visitors might remember a post last week about the Addams Family original (shown here) up for auction. The hammer has now dropped: the lucky winner paid $87,500.00.
This is surely a record price for an Addams Family drawing, if not for any Addams drawing, and possibly for any single panel New Yorker-related drawing (I’m hoping that Attempted Bloggery, the site specializing in auctioned New Yorker cartoon work, weighs in to correct, or confirm my suspicion.
