Now That’s A Cover!
From H.O. Hofman, who produced thirteen covers for The New Yorker, three drawings*, and an untold number of Spot drawings. The first Hofman cover appeared April 18, 1925 and the last is the one you see here, June 4, 1927. Absolutely love the playfulness of this; it looks like something the artist would’ve done not for publication, but for the fun of it.
