I’ve no idea how many cover variations there are for Thurber titles. Does anyone? (let me know if you do). Just about every Thurber search I do turns up a cover I’m not familiar with. For instance: this Harcourt Brace Jovanovich 1973 paperback:
I kind’ve like its simplicity. But still, I prefer most of the other versions I’ve seen. I noticed that HBJ also published My World And Welcome To It using a similar cover design:

James Thurber Born, Columbus, Ohio, December 8, 1894. Died 1961, New York City. New Yorker work: 1927 -1961, with several pieces run posthumously. According to the New Yorker’s legendary editor, William Shawn, “In the early days, a small company of writers, artists, and editors — E.B. White, James Thurber, Peter Arno, and Katharine White among them — did more to make the magazine what it is than can be measured.”
