Now That’s A Cover!
This April 18, 1925 H.O.Hofman cover sure does scream Art Deco. A cover truly of its time (without the performers, it looks to be purely a study in design, much like what, as a student, I would’ve loved to have come up with in my Color Theory class…but no such luck).
This was the magazine’s 9th cover, and artist, H.O. Hofman’s very first for The New Yorker. Hofman contributed 13 covers in all; his last was June 4, 1927.
