Ink Spill’s “One Club” received seven new members today. Their names have been added to “The New Yorker Cartoonists A-Z” section. Each of these cartoonists contributed just one drawing to The New Yorker in their careers. One Club membership now hovers around 80 members. The latest members:
William Green , Piet Hein, W.E. Heitland, Leo Herschfield, Phil Hustis, E.F. Hynes, and Sewell Johnson
Can anyone tell me more about Phil Hustis. I can’t find an image of army antics. I have a cartoon 16×12 titled refresher course signed by him. My grandmother said,someone in my grandfather’s army platoon drew it. She said one of the characters was my grandfather. Was Phil in the army? What Years? Did he have other published cartoons beside the one in the New Yorker?
