Fave Photos Of The Week This past Thursday, a quartet of New Yorker cartoonists hopped in a car and drove upstate to Rhinebeck, NY from the isle of Manhattan. Another cartoonist drove west from Connecticut, and yet another traveled east across the Hudson River from Woodstock. All of them settled down in a coffee shop for hours of cartoon merriment.

Remembering Danny Shanahan: 1956-2021
The cartoonist, Danny Shanahan, who contributed drawings to The New Yorker from September of 1988 through last year, died early this morning, according to his wife, Janet Stetson.
