Bliss & Martin On “The View”

The pr blitz continues for Harry Bliss & Steve Martin’s cartoon collection, A Wealth Of Pigeons. Here they are on ABC’s “The View”

The New Yorker has introduced “its own merchandising operation”: “The New Yorker Store”...among the fun products available are Ed Steed playing cards. You can order them here.

You say you’re interested in “vintage” New Yorker cartoonist playing cards? Then how about this fab deck from the 1980s produced by Ink Inc. (a quick online search didn’t turn up any available at the moment, but they’re out there, I just know it).

The contributing artists: left to right, Jack Ziegler, Roz Chast, Lee Lorenz, Arnie Levin, and William Steig (Mr. Ziegler’s drawing also appears on the reverse of every card as shown in the top photo).

Today’s Daily Cartoonist: Peter Kuper on a take me to your leader variant.

Mr. Kuper began contributing to The New Yorker in 2011. Visit his website here.

Yesterday’s Daily Cartoonist: Adam Douglas Thompson on virtual cranberry passing. Mr. Thompson has been contributing to The New Yorker since 2019. Visit his website here.
