The Monday Tilley Watch Takes A Glancing Look At The Art & Artists Of The Latest Issue Of The New Yorker
The Cover: For the Fiction Issue, a Holly Golightly moment, with cat, sans acoustic guitar.
Sixteen cartoons, sixteen cartoonists (the Spill counts duos as one cartoonist). Three duos in this issue, no newbies.
As might be expected in a themed issue, there are four cartoons that touch on reading or books (they are from Asher Perelman, Lars Kenseth, Charlie Hankin, and the duo of Sophie Lucido Johnson & Sammi Skolmoski). There are also two post-pandemic cartoons (one from Madeline Horwath, and one from Brooke Bourgeois).
